About Machinery Products
Machinery Products is an independent UK guide to workshop, garden and site machinery for home users and small businesses. It is owned by Steven Smith, who runs a small group of independent UK guide websites.
What we do
- We list real machines — pressure washers, generators, air compressors, log splitters, garden shredders, bench grinders, pillar drills, lathes, saws, welders, cement mixers, dust extractors and safety kit — and describe each one in our own words.
- Every figure on a product page (pressure, power, capacity, weight and so on) comes from the maker’s own website, and the page lists the source and the date we checked it.
- Our guides explain the things worth knowing before you buy or use a machine — carbon monoxide from generators, storing petrol, noise, dust and protective equipment — using HSE, NHS, GOV.UK and makers’ guidance.
- We link to Amazon.co.uk so you can see current prices, sellers and delivery there.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, hire or repair machinery, and we can’t help with orders.
- We haven’t tested these machines for this guide, and we don’t give star ratings or “best buy” awards.
- We don’t show prices — they change too often — and we don’t make “deal” claims.
- We don’t copy Amazon’s or makers’ photos or descriptions.
- Our guides are general information, not legal, safety-consultancy or professional advice.
General information only. Always read and follow the maker’s manual and safety instructions, wear the protection it tells you to, and keep children and pets away from machinery.
How the site is paid for
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Some pages also show one banner ad. See the affiliate disclosure for details.
Making things?
If you use your workshop for making as well as mending, our sister guide to laser cutters and 3D printers (glowforge.uk) may help. And if a love of machines is turning into a career idea, Skills & Hobbies looks at hands-on UK careers.
Spotted a mistake?
Makers update their ranges often. If something here is wrong or out of date, please email hello@machineryproducts.co.uk and we’ll check it. Product facts were last checked on 6 November 2026.
